Anyone know how to get nailpolish stains out of carpets?
The more you mess with this stain, the worse it will get. Solvents, such as found in Acetone will damage the adhesives in the carpet backing. Leave this stain for a pro, go to www.iicrc.org. They have gels that will float on the carpet and not reach the backing. The pro will soften the spill and then rinse and extract everything from the carpet fibers, all with out damage to the carpet. It is ok to allow the nail polish to dry as the pro can still remove it. The pro should use Pro Solve Gel and Power Gel to accomplish this task. Also, never put bleach on a carpet, as some people may suggest.
