How do i get a stain out of the couch?

So I'm house sitting for my aunt and yeah I ended up spilling something on the couch i wiped it up and used water to clean it but... The stain got worse... how do i clean it up? Idk how to explain what kind of couch it is but i think its micro fiber or something like that.
