Interested in doing freelance web design, is there work out there? How do I know how much to charge?

I am a Graphic artist looking to start out designing web pages with Dreamweaver. I am trying to find out if there is much work out there before I begin trying to venture out. Are people using Freelance designers for there websites or are they going to the web hosting services that offer an all-in-one location to host a site like godaddy.com, etc..? Also what can I expect to charge for a typical 5 page website? any feedback or help would be appreciated...
