How to factory reset or wipe hard drive on HP laptop Compaq 8510p?

I lost my log in to my computer. I'm running windows 7. Tried my password recovery disk but its not working. Tried dban to wipe drive, process froze saying PCI (syst)... I can't access my computer so I can't go through BIOS.. nor does its has the F key to enter recovery mode. So I'm lost..
